Have Some Faith

I received a greeting over IM yesterday. But I couldn't believe it and thought there was some mistake. I know this fren in a project about 2 years ago. Haven't been in touch quite a while already.

fren : Advance Merry Christmas Do you also celebrate Christmas?
... ...
me: Did you get the wrong window ?
fren: You're chloe right?
me: yes yes (Embarrased)

... ...
I would like to end this post by wishing you 'Merry Christmas' and, to myself 'Have some faith'. Let's embrace the great things in our way ahead.

200408

<<< She is Nora. A very nice gal. Norita is her nickname. (I shared with her the山渣餅 I brought along. She like it !)
Most of them have nickname. For example, Pépé for Jose (in general). Maxi for Max. But Nora once said ‘Maxi’ is too sweet to call. Hahaha. (Sorry)
Some of them are not local and many come from Argentina. They tend to lower their voice when telling you that someone is an Argentine. They seemed trying to hint you but I don’t get it at all. Frankly, they all look the same to me. (Sorry again.) Generally, I find them sociable and warm (rated between Asian and Angmo). Most of the girls have makeup. Tell you, they are very good in eye makeup.

<<< They call it 'Cerror'. They say Monterrey is surrounded by cerror. I would imagine my client cutting the cerror and grind them into cement. hahahaha.

The only landmark nearby the hotel is 'Vante Artirantau', the most expensive bridge built in Monterrey, that the people frown on. The government built this bridge but you hardly see vehicles driving pass. However, it is important for me. I have to mention its name so that the taxi drivers know where to drop me off.
I don't know how I survived the 2 weeks there. Not sure if anyone in the office would want to do that. I never thought of saying no when I got that assignment. Was I lucky or just unlucky to get to know this place and it’s people (even if just on surface only). Anyway, I enjoyed the trip as far as I can recall. It is an experience for me.

Just bits and pieces of memory I have for the trip, back in August 2004. Time flies.

Urban Dream Capsule

" ... In a world where privacy is vanishing see whats in-store. Sealed into a shop window for a fortnight, four intrepid art-stronauts will transfer their entire lives to the high street in a 24 hours a day, non-stop incubation event.

Without a curtain in sight, watch them eat, wash, cook, sleep and entertain. No one would have thought that life could be so interesting. Find out what its like to go beyond the pane barrier and speak to them each day by phone, fax, email or web site, the addresses and numbers are on the windows. ..."

They are now live in Langham Place, Mong Kok, Hong Kong. Check out the website http://www.urbancapsuledream.com
I think it is a briliant but crazy idea. I just sent an email to them. Will update you if they reply. Suddenly I thought of the HK artists. Do they live in a capsule without a curtain ? By the way, sigh, I haven't bump into any HK artists so far. I was browsing at a stall yesterday and find that most of the magazines are craps but fast selling.

Just uploaded a pic I took on the capsule. Check out the Demi Moore pic ^_^

Merry X'mas !

WTO@WanChai

I don't know them. I thought I just want to witness a demonstration myself as I don't get to do that in Malaysia. When I first saw them, I was totally impressed, and touched. They definitely have impressed me with their determination and will.

The LRT platform was overcrowded that the authority had to shutdown the station for a shortwhile; People openly talked about the handling of the Police in the situations; Hongkis, you are the lucky ones, aren't you.

Ooopppsss, I think some of them visited Disneyland Hong Kong the week before. I saw some ladies with exteriors (Muslims) in Disneyland last Saturday. They appeared at the scene today too.
